The weather in Hanoi was nice, creating favorable conditions for cyclists to speed up right from first laps. With great efforts, Tran Tuan Kiet from Dong Thap reached the finish line first with a time of 52 minutes 24 seconds, temporarily holding the yellow and blue jerseys. The white one went to Vo Minh Giao Bao from Military Region 7.

Concluding the first stage, cyclist Tran Tuan Kiet shared that this was the first time he participated in the cycling tournament held by the People’s Army Newspaper. He promised to try his best to obtain the highest result.

On May 2, the athletes started their second stage from Hanoi to Mai Chau (Hoa Binh province) at a distance of 132km.
