National University of Malaysia wins International Student Football Tournament

The final, featuring two outstanding representatives Thuy Loi University (Vietnam) and the National University of Malaysia, delivered an exciting contest with numerous impressive plays for spectators. After the two sides were tied 1-1 at the end of regular time, the match was decided by a penalty shootout.

Delegates, organizers, referees, and players of both teams take part in the pre-match ceremonies of the final.

As a result, the National University of Malaysia overcame their opponents to claim the championship title of this year’s tournament.

Final standings saw the National University of Malaysia crowned champions, Thuy Loi University finishing as runners-up, and Svay Rieng University (Cambodia) securing third place. In addition, the organizing panel presented awards for Best Player of the Final, Best Goalkeeper, Top Scorer, Best Player of the Tournament, and others.

The 2nd International Youth Student Football Tournament – 2026 brought together six strong teams in the region, which were Vietnam’s representatives Thuy Loi University and host Nha Trang University, international teams from Svay Rieng University (Cambodia), the National University of Laos, the National University of Malaysia, and the National University of Singapore.

Beyond being a high-quality sporting platform for students, the tournament also served as an opportunity to promote the dynamic and hospitable image of Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa to international friends.
