Present at the ceremony were leaders of military and civilian agencies and units, and more than 1,000 military artists and soldiers from 14 military theaters and art troupes.
The festival, held every five years, aims to review the quality of operations and performances of professional art units in the military and create conditions for participating artists to show off their talents and creativity to serve troops and people.
Themed “Continue writing the epic,” the ten-day festival features items of songs, dances, and plays in praise of the homeland, the Communist Party of Vietnam, national construction and defense missions in the current period, cultural values of ethnic minorities and the combat solidarity with neighboring countries. The performances also demonstrate good images and virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers in combination with the good implementation of the movement “Studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morals and lifestyle.”
