PANO – The Vietnam’s futsal team ranks third at the final round of the recent International Futsal Tournament 2011 after losing to Uzbekistan with a score of 2-3 on October 9th.
The Uzbekistan team won the championship and US$ 5,000 in cash, followed by the Qatar, Vietnam and China’s teams.
Besides, the organisation board also offered the best goal-keeper prize to Umarov Rustam (Uzbekistan), the most valuable player to Yunusov Artur (Uzbekistan) and two top scorers to Yunusov Artur (Uzbekistan) and Luu Quynh Toan (Vietnam).
The International Futsal Tournament 2011 took place at the Quan Ngua Sporting Hall, Hanoi, from October 7th to 9th with the participation of four teams from Qatar, China, Uzbekistan and the host Vietnam.
The event helped Vietnamese players improve their skills to prepare for the upcoming international championships.
