Traditional ritual of H’re ethnic community
PANO - The water worship ritual (also known as Water Droplet Tet Festival or water worship Tet) is a form of communal cultural activity that carries distinctive cultural traits in the spiritual life of the H're ethnic people.
This is a traditional ritual, organized on the occasion of the lunar New Year (Tet), highlighting the moral and ethical tradition of the Vietnamese people "When drinking water, remember its source" for younger generations. For the H're ethnic community, the water source is where the goddess Vada resides, a place that holds the souls of people and preserves the village's assets. The H're people organize the ceremony to express gratitude to Yangs, the water deities, and to show appreciation for the water source that has helped them in farming and provided a prosperous and happy life.
