The task has been assigned to the university by the General Department of Political Affairs to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the South Liberation and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - 2025).
At the meeting, Senior Colonel, Dr., People’s Artist Nguyen Xuan Bac, Vice Rector of the university, emphasized that the April 30, 1975 victory was a great achievement in the national salvation cause led by the Party and President Ho Chi Minh. It was a glorious and brilliant page in the history of the nation.
With great historical values, the special program aims to intensively popularize the significance, stature, and historical values of the great victory in Spring 1975, a golden mark of Vietnam in the world’s political map when Vietnam completely destroyed U.S. imperialists’ war of aggression and domination.

It is also an occasion to honor and express deep gratitude to older generations who devoted their whole lives to the cause of national liberation, thus arousing and promoting the tradition of patriotism, revolutionary heroism, and the will to fight and win of our people in the cause of Fatherland building and protection.
The program will have three parts featuring the national struggle by 1954, the glorious time of our troops and people, and the feats-of-arms achieved in the resistance wars against the French colonialists and the U.S. imperialists, driving the nation to enter the era of the rise.
The special program will take place on April 21 evening at the Military Theater’s Southern branch at 140 Cong Hoa, Tan Binh district, Ho Chi Minh City.
