Northern mountainous region’s photo festival attracts thousands of entries
PANO – The Vietnam Photographers Association in collaboration with the provincial People’s Committee of Yen Bai opened the Artistic Photo Festival in the Northern Mountainous Region, on October 4 in Yen Bai city.

This year’s edition attracted the participation of over 2,000 photographs by 349 photographers from 15 provinces in the region. The works vividly reflect life of ethnic groups and the landscapes of the region.
The organizing panel awarded two gold medals to Photographer Nguyen Van Mien for his work “The color of soil” and Photographer Vu Chien for the work “Sunset on Sang Nhu Mount.” Both gold medal winners are from Yen Bai province.
Apart from the gold medals, the organizers also presented four silver, six bronze, and eight consolation prizes.
An exhibition lasts till October 10.
