This is one of the festivals of the Xo Dang ethnic minority group for two or three days during the tenth month of the lunar year.
The celebration is held when rice is ripened and ready to be harvested by the Xo Dang ethnic minority people.
Many worship rituals and festive activities are also held to show gratitude to gods and pray for a bumper crop in the next season, prosperity, and happiness.
