Ethnic minority groups to join cultural festival
PANO – The “National Great Unity - Vietnamese Cultural Heritage Week” will take place at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in Son Tay town, Hanoi from November 18 to 23.
Nearly 200 people, artisans and actors from 12 ethnic minority groups (including the Tay, Dao, H’mong, Muong, Thai, Kho Mu, Ta Oi, and Co Tu) in 12 provinces will participate in the event.
The program is jointly organized by the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism’s Management Board, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, agencies of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho city, the Department of Tourism of Hanoi, and departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism of various other provinces such as Thai Nguyen, Ha Giang, Son La, etc.
The program aims to introduce and honor tangible and intangible cultural heritage of Vietnam’s ethnic minority groups, with the aims to further promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc.
