MIG-21 aircraft No.4324 at Vietnam Military Museum

PANO - The Vietnam Museum of Military History on March 10th announced the decision of the Prime Minister to recognize two items as the national treasures in the presence of Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Nghia, Deputy Chief of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army, many generals and witnesses who had preserved the items.

The two items are the “Ho Chi Minh Campaign Combat Determination” map and the MIG-21 Fighter No.4324. The Ho Chi Minh Campaign map was devised by the staff of the Office of Operations under the Command of the National Liberation Front for South Vietnam and the officers of the General Staff from April 15th to 21st 1975 in Ta Thiet revolutionary base, Loc Ninh district, Binh Phuoc province. The map shows five major attack directions to Saigon to liberate the south and reunify the country.

At present, the Vietnam Museum of Military History is keeping four national treasures.
