Pham Thi Binh wins gold at the women’s marathon event

PANO – The Khanh Hoa province team ranks first at the 55th Tien Phong newspaper Cross-country Run and Marathon Tournament in Da Lat City, Lam Dong province. The runners-up are teams of the army and the host.

This year, the organizing panel decided to hold the 42km marathon event in this tournament instead of the former 21km semi-marathon.

In the men’s and women’s marathon events, runners Bui The Anh (the army) and Pham Thi Binh (Quang Ngai province), respectively, won golds.

Surprisingly, in the men's 10km race, athlete Nguyen Dang Duc Bao of Khanh Hoa left SEA Games champion Nguyen Van Lai behind to claim gold. Nguyen Van Hau (the army) came in second, while Lai was at the third position.
