PANO - The VTV international cycling tournament – Ton Hoa Sen Cup kicked off on August 24 in Da Nang city, with the participation of 75 cyclists from 15 teams, including two foreign teams from Laos and Thailand.

After the opening ceremony, the racers cycled the Vo Nguyen Giap street 25 times with a total length of 50 kilometers. Cyclist Tran Nguyen Duy Nhan of Military Zone 7 won the yellow jersey of the first stage with a time of 1 hour 6 minutes, and 32 seconds, followed by Desrias Loic of Thailand’s Sict team, and Trinh Duc Tam of An Giang’s Gao Hat Ngoc Troi, respectively.
The tournament, including 10 stages with a total length of 1,050 kilometers, will end in Hanoi on September 2, to celebrate the National Day (September 2).
Cyclists will ride 101 km from Da Nang city to Hue city on the morning of August 25.
