Kite-making is among the crafts included in the Hue Traditional Craft Festival.

The biennial event will also bring together over 350 artisans from 62 craft villages and facilities across the country, who will show off their skills in different areas like embroidery, jewelry, wooden crafts, copper items, pottery, conical leaf hats, confetti, calligraphy, painting, kite-making, garment-textiles, and bamboo and rattan products.

Of note, Hue’s traditional medicine will be introduced on this occasion, where doctors will provide health check-ups to the festival goers.

Thanh said the festival aims to honor the quintessence of traditional crafts, improve the efficiency of traditional craft production and business, enhance cooperation across spheres, spur socio-economic growth, and combine handicrafts with tourism development.
