PANO – The Vietnam's national football team jumped one place to 152nd on the global rankings, the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) announced on September 3rd.

Despite gaining the jump, Vietnam still stands at the third place in Southeast Asia, behind the Philippines (World No.125th) and Thailand (World No.137th).

This month, Vietnam’s position may considerably change when the squad will have a game with Taiwan (China) under the 2018 World Cup Asian qualifiers.

Globally, Argentina remains on top, followed by Belgium and Germany. Notably, the Wales is at 9th place and ranks above England for the first time.
