Vietnamese athletes won two gold and one silver medals at the Southeast Asian Fencing Federation Championship in Singapore on September 5.

In the men’s epee team class, Vietnam were on top, followed by Singapore in second place and the Philippines and Duxton Plain Fencing Club, also from Singapore, at third.

In the women’s sabre team, the Vietnamese with Olympian Nguyen Thi Le Dung dominated the event. The Philippines came second, while the hosts were third.

Singapore Team A secured top position in the women’s foil team pool. Vietnam, led by Olympic participant Do Thi Anh, finished second. The Philippines and Singapore Team B came third.

After three days, Vietnam have grabbed four golds, five silvers and six bronzes.

The tournament ends on September 6.
