This is a joint project between students and designers at the London Academy of Fashion and Design - Hanoi and girls from Sin Chai village, San Sa Ho commune, Sa Pa town, Lao Cai province. They have shared knowledge and skills on sewing to make applicable design products from traditional indigo-dyed fabrics.

A student of the London Academy of Fashion and Design - Hanoi guides ethnic girls new techniques on sewing.

It aims to help ethnic minority people improve their lives, while preserving and promoting traditional crafts and local culture. It is also an opportunity for participating designers and students to share experience and get to know about cultural traditions, among others.

The exhibition has many activities such as displaying products designed from indigo-dyed fabric by H’mong girls in Sa Pa; featuring traditional weaving and dyeing traditions of the H’mong people, to name but a few.

Via the exhibition, the organizing panel would like to bring unforgettable experiences to visitors, and raise their awareness of the traditional cultural values, especially the traditions of weaving and dyeing of the H’mong ethnic group.

It is scheduled to last until November 18 at No.98 To Ngoc Van street, Tay Ho district, Hanoi.
