Book and newspaper exhibition held in Hanoi
PANO – The Military Library opened a book and newspaper exhibition entitled “Unforgettable years” on July 20 in Hanoi.
The exhibition is an activity to mark the 75th anniversary of the Wounded and Fallen Soldiers’ Day (July 27).
Accordingly, the exhibition is divided into five parts featuring nearly 500 precious publications collected and preserved by the Military Library over the past decades.
Through the exhibition, the organizing panel hopes to raise officers and soldiers’ awareness of the tradition “When drinking water, remember its source” and heighten the responsibilities of authorities at all levels, socio-political organizations, people in caring for the spiritual and material lives of wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and national contributors.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, the Military Library conducts exchange activities for authors of the book “Unforgettable years,” with the presence of Senior Colonels and also writer Chu Lai and Vu Thi Hong – a military literary couple. They are famous for works about the armed force and revolutionary wars, typically wounded and fallen soldiers.
The exhibition will last until the end of July.
