A delegation of the General Department of Technical Services visited three convalescent centers in Ha Nam province and Thuan Thanh Convalescent Center in Bac Ninh province. The delegation delivered 265 gifts, worth nearly 100 million VND, to national contributors at the centers.

On this occasion, the general department presented 91 fallen soldiers' and wounded soldiers' relatives who work at the general department's affiliated units with gifts from the State President and military units. They also inquired after and gave gifts to two heroic Vietnamese mothers, as well as inaugurated and handed over two gratitude houses to policy families.
* A delegation from the Army Corps 2 Command, authorized by the Ministry of National Defense (MND), presented gifts, worth nearly 80 million VND, to wounded soldiers at Lang Giang Convalescent Center in Bac Giang province. In addition, at Ba Long commune (Dakrong, Quang Tri), a get-together was organized to gather and present gifts to policy beneficiaries and national contributors. In the framework of the program, the delegation also offered incense at Mountain Temple Relics in Thanh Tam commune (Thanh Liem, Ha Nam).
* The Department of Logistics of Military Region 1 dispatched a delegation of medical personnel to Mo Ba village, Tan Long commune (Dong Hy, Thai Nguyen) to provide free health checkups and medicines to 200 policy and needy families. The delegation also presented five gifts to outstanding policy households in the area. Over 30 million VND was spent on the medicines and presents.
* Army Corps 16's Regiment 726 on July 26 visited wounded soldiers and fallen soldiers' relatives in the area where they are stationed. In addition to presenting gifts and inquiring after the national contributors, the unit participated in a number of meaningful activities to observe Wounded and Fallen Soldiers' Day, including lighting candles at war cemeteries throughout the region, as well as cleaning up and decorating the cemeteries.
* Troops from Thanh Hoa provincial Military Command laid wreaths at Ham Rong War Cemetery to pay tribute to their great contributions to the national liberation and unification cause.
* To commemorate Wounded and Fallen Soldiers' Day, Hanoi city called on residents to raise over VND 27.3 billion for a gratitude fund. As a result, the city’s authority presented 4,366 saving books, worth over VND 5.3 billion, to policy people and repaired 74 commemorative complexes dedicated to war martyrs, worth over VND 45.6 billion. Meanwhile, local authorities also handed over gifts from the State President, city and sponsors to policy people.
