Artistic program honors patriotism
PANO – On the evening of November 18, the Party Central Committee's Commission for Mass Mobilization in association with the General Department of Political Affairs of the Vietnam People’s Army and Hanoi municipal People’s Committee held an artistic program “Together safeguarding the Fatherland” at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel relic site in Hanoi.
The program recalled major milestones starting with the event on the morning of September 19, 1954, when President Ho Chi Minh talked with cadres of Division 308, also known as Tien Phong (Vanguard) Division (now Mechanized Infantry Division 308 of Army Corps 12), at the Hung King Temple (Phu Tho province). There, President Ho Chi Minh stressed that, “The Hung Kings founded the nation; we must together safeguard the Fatherland.”

The 100-minute-long program included various songs, artistic performances, and 3D mapping performance, gathering over 500 artists, featuring the country’s glorious historical periods in the Ho Chi Minh era since the start of President Ho Chi Minh’s journey to find a path for the national liberation struggle to national resistance wars against the French colonialists and American imperialists.
At the same time, the program’s performances also highlighted strong transformations of Hanoi capital city to become the leading cultural, economic and political center of the country. The final part of the program boldly depicted the period of strong development, international integration and affirming Vietnam's position in the international arena.
