PANO - An old yoni has been unearthed at the Hoa Lai tower complex in Bac Phong commune, Thuan Bac district, Ninh Thuan Province.

The antique, 71cm long, 51.5cm wide and 9cm thick, is made of sandstone.

Archaeologists from the Southern Region Sustainable Development Institute handed this antique to the Museum of Ninh Thuan. The date of this antique has not been specified.

Under Cham culture, linga and yoni, which represent male and female creative energy and symbolize growth and development, are worshipped in temple towers. Linga and yoni are often found together.
