He expressed his appreciation and high regard for Thongloun’s selection of Vietnam as the first country to visit in his capacity as Lao Party General Secretary and President, shortly after the successful conclusion of the new-term Party congresses of both countries.

Thongloun Sisoulith said that the visit was highly successful, affirming that the great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation, and strategic cohesion between Vietnam and Laos will continue to grow stronger. He emphasized that this relationship would be preserved as a shared and invaluable asset of the two nations and passed on to future generations.

Through Politburo member Tran Cam Tu, the Lao leader extended his sincere thanks to General Secretary To Lam, his spouse, and the high-ranking leaders of the Vietnamese Party and State for the warm, thoughtful, and heartfelt reception, reflecting the deep camaraderie of comrades and brothers who have shared hardships and joys throughout history.

The senior Party official of Vietnam affirmed that in the coming period, the two Parties and two States would continue to implement high-level agreements and cooperation commitments reached by their high-ranking leaders.

In the new development stage, both sides should concretize, coordinate, and effectively implement these high-level agreements, placing the Vietnam–Laos Joint Statement at the center to ensure close alignment between strategic vision and concrete actions, he stressed.
