The three best teams compete in the regional final round. |
The event was jointly held by the Coast Guard Region 4 Command, in coordination with the Commissions for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization under the Party Committees of Can Tho city, An Giang and Ca Mau provinces and the Departments of Education and Training of the three localities.
This first-ever regional contest attracted over 1,500 students, teachers, and parents thanks to its modern format, digital technology applications, enhanced interactivity, and transparency.
In the final, three best teams from Can Tho, An Giang and Ca Mau competed in four rounds, namely “Setting sail,” “Riding the waves,” “Reaching the shore,” and “Planting sovereignty markers.” The questions focused on knowledge of national sea and islands, the tradition of the Vietnam People’s Army, and the Vietnam Coast Guard.

A highlight of the contest was the presentation part where contestants combined speeches with slideshows, vivid video clips to deliver messages about marine environment protection, youth’s responsibility for safeguarding maritime sovereignty and paying gratitude to forces performing duties at sea.
As the result, team Mat Bien from Ca Mau province won first prize, followed by team San Ho from An Giang province and team Rong Bien from Can Tho city respectively.

On this occasion, the organizers awarded 60 scholarships, worth VND 1 million each, to disadvantaged students to help them continue their studies and nurture their love for national sea and islands.
