At the exhibition

On display are more than 100 photos highlighting historic documents affirming Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) Islands, the care of the Party and State leaders for troops and islanders, the VLA’s activities to protect the country’s sovereignty over the East Sea (South China Sea), visits of delegations to troops and islanders of Truong Sa island district, and daily life of troops and islanders in Truong Sa island district.

Through this exhibition, which runs until December 15, the VLA hope to call on people nationwide to continue to support and encourage troops and people on islands and in border areas and at the same time strongly condemn the violation of Vietnam's sovereignty over the East Sea.

According to Vietnam News Agency, in his opening remarks, VLA Chairman Nguyen Van Quyen said the association has accompanied Vietnamese authorities in safeguarding the country’s maritime sovereignty. It has also worked with various organizations to host several international conferences, issue statements and promote the Party’s and State’s stance and policies on the national sovereignty over sea and islands.

The VLA expects the exhibition will provide lawyers and visitors with a better understanding of the issue through a wide range of historic documents affirming Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) Islands,
