Contest raises students’ awareness of protecting national sovereignty over seas and islands
PANO – A contest on national seas and islands and the Law on Vietnam's Coast Guard was launched on November 9 for students of Nui Thanh High School in Nui Thanh district, Quang Nam province.
During the event, participating students will answer multiple-choice questions and write an essay on required topics.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Colonel Bui Dai Hai, Deputy Political Commissar of the Coast Guard Region 2 Command, emphasized that the contest is a healthy and useful knowledge competition for students.
It is also an opportunity for teachers and students to learn more about national seas and islands, legal documents of sovereignty over national seas and islands, as well as missions of the Vietnam's Coast Guard, thus strengthening their love and responsibility for the construction and protection of national sovereignty over seas and islands.
Jointly organized by the Coast Guard Region 2 Command and Nui Thanh High School, the five-day event is part of the activities to mark Vietnam's Law Day (November 9) and Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20). The awarding ceremony is slated for November 20.
