Naval Region 4 disseminates sea and islands-related information

The three-day conference connected the provincial Party Committee’s Information and Education Commission and districts and communes of the province. During the event, participants were briefed on the situations of national sea and islands and missions of safeguarding national sovereignty over sea and islands by Deputy Political Chief of Naval Region 4 Senior Captain Dao Giang Hai.

In particular, delegates were updated on the recent developments in the East Sea (South China Sea); the Naval Service’s results of safeguarding national sovereignty over sea and islands in 2022; forecast of situation; the party’s viewpoints and guidelines and measures to safeguard the national sovereignty over sea and islands; orientation for the mission in the coming time. 

According to Head of the Binh Phuoc provincial Party Committee’s Information and Education Commission Vu Tien Dien, the collaboration in information dissemination between the commission and Naval Region 4 has raised party members, locals, especially students and local youths’ awareness of the strategic position of Vietnamese sea and islands in the building and protection of national sovereignty and territory integrity.

On the occasion, the mission of Naval Region 4 also held activities at three schools, during which the organizing panel provided information related to officer training at the Naval Academy, regulations on enrollment, and policies on attracting high quality human resources to contribute to the building of revolutionary, regular, elite, and modernized Navy for more than 1,500 participating students.
