This year, the contest in Dien Bien saw the participation of 70 outstanding students from four secondary schools in Dien Bien Phu city and Dien Bien district. The questions revolved around basic knowledge about the province’s geography, the Dien Bien Phu Victory, national sea and islands, the Vietnam People’s Army and the coast guard force, as well as the Vietnam Law of the Sea and international regulations over sea and islands, to name but a few.

The contest aimed to disseminate information among teachers and students about the Dien Bien Phu Victory, local cultural traditions, national sea and islands, the Party and State’s documents related to sovereignty over sea and islands, and traditions of the coast guard force, contributing to spreading love for national sea and islands and enhancing public awareness of and responsibility for protecting national sovereignty over sea and islands.
