The three-day event began on September 29 and showcased maps and historical archives featuring the country’s Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagoes as well as its waters and continental shelf in the East Sea (South China Sea).

Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Duc Quy said he hopes that the exhibition will increase public awareness, especially among the youth, of patriotism, solidarity and responsibility to protect the country’s sea and island sovereignty.

After being held in Bac Quang, the exhibition will come to other remote and border districts of Ha Giang, stated Nguyen Van Tue, Director of the provincial Department of Information and Communications.
