PANO - The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee in Ho Chi Minh City, in coordination with the city’s Television, held a press conference to introduce an art exchange program entitled “Towards the national border, seas, and islands 2019.”
According to a press conference on August 20, the program will take place at 19:30 on August 29 at the City Television Theater and will be broadcast live on the television’s HTV1 channel.
During the event, the seventh of its kind, audiences will enjoy songs and dances featuring the national border, seas and islands, as well as honoring soldiers who are defending the sacred border, sea, and island sovereignty of the nation.
This meaningful activity aims to raise funds for the city’s National Seas and Islands Foundation.
Reportedly, since the beginning of 2018, over 75 billion VND from the foundation has funded HCM City to organize a number of practical activities, such as presenting gifts to officers, soldiers and people in Truong Sa island district and DK1 platforms, presenting cultural facilities, water reservoirs and island farming gardens, as well as gratitude houses for needy soldiers and local people in border areas.
