At the event, 60 students from the three secondary schools of Thach Bang, Binh An Thinh, and Le Thach Kim answered questions about national seas and islands, the Law of the Sea of Vietnam in 2012, the Law on the Vietnam Coast Guard in 2018, traditions of the coast guard force, drugs, crimes, drug-caused harm on schools, school violence, and local traditions.

Student Phan Nguyen Yen Nhi from Thach Bang Secondary School won the first prize. The organizers also presented two second and two third prizes to top students.

The contest aimed to raise the awareness of teachers, students, local officials and people of the national seas and islands and the Vietnam coast guard force.

On the occasion, the Vietnam Coast Guard Command and other benefactors handed out over 50 bicycles and 60 national flags to needy local students with good academic records, 27 gifts to Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, and wounded and sick soldiers. They also gave gifts to the district’s People’s Committee and Department of Education and Training, and three schools in Loc Ha district.
