Lieutenant General Do Danh Vuong presents national flags to fishermen.

On this occasion, the organization panel handed over 16,000 national flags and 5,000 portraits of President Ho Chi Minh to local fishermen, and 20 scholarships to local students with outstanding academic records. In addition, the Vietnam Joint-Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank) presented 100 gifts to local households in need.

After the inauguration, border guard troops and youths in Phu Yen province joined hands to clean up beaches.

On this occasion, the command and Viettinbank gave gifts and scholarships to local policy beneficiaries and fishermen’s children in order to encourage fishermen to fish in traditional areas at high sea and closely join functional forces to firmly protect national sovereignty over seas and islands.

Reportedly, between January 19 and February 2, the command is expected to run similar activities across the country, support poor border families to have a happy and healthy Lunar New Year 2021 holiday, and present newly-built houses to those who are facing housing difficulties, worth VND 10 billion in total.
