The first round of the contest took place from September 16 to 20 via the online form, attracting nearly 8,000 students. In the second round – the live final round, 100 students with the best results from the first round competed in a format inspired by the "Ring the Golden Bell” gameshow, featuring four sections: Sailing Off, Surfing Waves, Docking, and Establishing Sovereignty Markers.

The competition focused on knowledge of Vietnam's sea and islands; the Vietnam People's Army and the coast guard force; international maritime conventions and laws, the Vietnam Law of the Sea and Coast Guard Law, and so on.

As a result, Nguyen Duc Anh, a sixth-grader from the Nguyen Thanh Dang Secondary School, won the first prize.

On the occasion, the organizing panel presented 20 bicycles and 80 scholarships to disadvantaged students with good academic results.
