Competition to raise students’ love for national seas and islands
PANO - The Coast Guard Region 1 Command, in association with Co To High School, on March 20 launched a competition themed “I love the national seas and islands”.
More than 100 Co To High School students participated in knowledge competition regarding state documents on sea and island sovereignty, Law on Vietnam's Coast Guard, harmful effects of drugs, and negative effects of violence in schools.
Vu Ngoc Han, a ten-grade student, won the first prize, and received a certificate of merit and gift from the Coast Guard Region 1 Command.

According to Colonel Nguyen Van Thang, Political Commissar of the command, the competition was to raise participants’ love for the national seas and islands, and enhance the youth’s responsibility and enthusiasm in safeguarding the national sea and island sovereignty.
On the occasion, the organizing panel visited and presented gifts to policy families, and needy students in Co To island district.
Since 2013, the “I love the national seas and islands” competition has been organized in many provinces across the country with the participation of 3.470 teachers and students.
