Brigade 126 broadens Son La people’s knowledge of sea and islands
PANO - Naval Commando Brigade 126, in collaboration with the Son La provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Information and Education, provided local officials and people of Moc Chau and Van Ho districts with knowledge of sea and islands and human resource recruitment on April 18 and 19 in the province.
The event drew the participation of more than 3,000 delegates who are cadres from the districts’ party committees, political organizations; grassroots-level orators, secretaries and deputy secretaries of grassroots party cells; and teachers and students of high schools in the localities.
At the event, Deputy Political Commissar Naval Captain Tran Thanh Hai and other officers of the brigade talked about the position, role, and importance of Vietnamese sea and islands in the Fatherland construction and defense cause and current situations in the national waters.
They also equipped the participants with the Party’s viewpoints and guidelines, the State’s policies and laws on safeguarding national maritime sovereignty; typical feats-of-arms and long traditions of the Vietnam People’s Navy in general and the naval commando force in particular in defending national sovereignty over its sea and islands.

On the occasion, the unit’s delegation distributed 300 sets of documents and QR code with brief information about the Naval Academy, its 2023 enrollment program, policies and interests for the school’s cadets, and other information about naval officers.
