400 students join national sea-island program
PANO – The Central Committee of the Vietnam Students’ Association launched a program entitled “Students towards National Seas and Islands” in Con Dao district, Ba Ria- Vung Tau province, from May 23 to 25.
Themed “Following Heroes”, the three-day event drew the participation of over 400 people, including delegates of the Vietnam Students’ Association and outstanding students across the country.
The sixth program aims to provoke patriotism and raise awareness of protecting the national sovereignty and territorial integrity among students and popularize the Party and State’s guidelines and policies on the country’s seas and islands.

The five previous editions of the program took place from 2013 to 2017 in four island districts of Ly Son (Quang Ngai province), Tho Chu and Phu Quoc (Kien Giang province), Co To (Quang Ninh province), Phu Quy (Binh Thuan province) and the coastal city of Quy Nhon (Binh Dinh province).
Attendants of the event would have an opportunity to take part in practical activities, including popularizing information about national sovereignty, constructing national flag poles, and conducting environmental protection movements.
