Poetic Yen stream in water lily season
PANO - On this occasion, the Yen Stream in the Huong (Perfume) Pagoda compound is no longer bustling downstream with boats, but rather is a peaceful space with water-lilies in their blooming season.
Below are some photos about the water-lily season in the Yen Stream.

Water-lilies usually bloom at dawn, emerging about 10-20 cm above the water surface. If someone wants to see water-lilies in bloom, they must get up early and take a boat to the Yen Stream between 6am to 9am. At noon, the flowers gradually recede and blossom again the next morning. |
In this season, the Yen Stream becomes more attractive and more romantic with the peaceful pink and purple water lilies. |
Water-lilies bloom from now until the end of year. To see flowers, tourists can hire a small boat at a cost of between VND 100,000 and 120,000 for two people. |
According to local people, this area was flooded twice this year, so the flowering season has been late and not as plentiful as in previous years. |
For a nominal VND 50,000, visitors can own a dozen water lilies and take lots of photos with these flowers. |

At around 60 kilometers Southwest of the center of Hanoi, the Perfume Pagoda is located in Huong Son commune, My Duc district of Hanoi. Tourists can follow along national Highway 21B, through Thanh Oai district, and Van Dinh town. The road is not difficult to travel, so visitors can choose motorbike or car to go there. |
