PANO – Lap An lagoon is one of the must-see destinations when visiting Thua Thien Hue province. It is famous for its beautiful landscape and specialties, especially oysters.

Lap An lagoon or– An Cu lagoon, is located near National Highway 1A between Da Nang and Hue at Lang Co town, Phu Loc district. Lap An is at the foot of the Phu Gia Pass with a radius of 15 square kilometers. The lagoon is surrounded by the majestic mountain of Bach Ma, which mirrors itself on the blue water of Lang Co Bay.
Locals here live mainly on fishing, and aqua- culture especially raising oysters, a specialty of Lap An lagoon.
As the tide ebbed away, local people excavate sand dunes to catch hai sam (holothurian), also known as sipunculus nudus. “Hai sam” with its high nutrition value, very good for health, brings great economic profits for locals.

Vaporous scenery with the mist covering the entrance to the lagoon attracts tourists to come to capture rare moments for their own.
The best time to visit Lap An lagoon is from March to June, the perfect time for photographers to take poetic landscapes of the lagoon.
Visitors may have chance to enjoy other activities like swimming in Lang Co bay or hiking to the Bach Ma Mountain.
