First River Festival of Ho Chi Minh City to be held

The festival will be organized by the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and co-organized by the municipal Department of Tourism in coordination with the municipal Department of Culture and Sports and other relevant units.

The festival will take place from August 4 to 6 at various locations, including Saigon Port (District 4), the passenger port, Bach Dang Wharf Park (District 1), Nhieu Loc - Thi Nghe Canal, Binh Dong Pier (District 8), Suoi Tien Cultural Tourism Area (Thu Duc city), and other tourist destinations within Thu Duc city, as well as districts of Ho Chi Minh City.

The first River Festival of Ho Chi Minh City will feature a series of cultural and artistic events taking place along the Saigon River, combined with experiential activities, shopping promotions, discounts on tickets for artistic performances, and many other activities.

The grand spectacle show themed "Saigon - The River Tells Stories" is introduced to the press.

According to Ms. Nguyen Cam Tu, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Promotion Center, there will be 10 groups of activities to be held during the festival to promote the image, land, people, cultural identity, tourism activities, and distinctive cuisine of the city.

The most remarkable of these will be the grand spectacle show on the Saigon River with the theme "Saigon - The River That Tells Stories." The organizers will open registration for free tickets to the public starting July 20.
