Red flamboyant trees shadowing a large yard paved with dark grey natural stones make the central square attractive at this time of the year. That scene might remind visitors of musical notes.

Visiting the central square, visitors can also see a 18-meter tall “don kim” (a traditional Vietnamese musical instrument), the pride of Bac Lieu people.

Near the central square are the Bac Lieu Culture and Arts Exhibition Center and the Cao Van Lau Theater. With a special design that includes three conical hats facing one another, the theater has been one of the most popular tourist attractions in the Southernmost province of Vietnam.
