Over US$11 million for tourism development in Mekong sub region

Five provinces of Cao Bang, Bac Can, Thua Thien – Hue, Quang Binh and Quang Tri will join a project on sustainable tourism development of open sub Mekong region with a total investment of US$11.1 million.
Of the investment, US$10million is provided from ADB while the remaining is contributed from Vietnam.
The project will be carried out from January, 2009 to 2013 under the model of ‘community tourism’ which aims to preserve natural heritage, improve infrastructure and tourism management capacity.
