In response to the “World No Tobacco Day” and the “National No Tobacco Week,” representatives of the MOH called on individuals and the community to co-operate in promoting information dissemination on the impact of tobacco use on people’s health and the country’s sustainable development.

According to the Global Tobacco Adult Survey (GATS) 2015, Vietnam is among the 15 countries in the world with the highest numbers of smokers and it is estimated that every year, Vietnamese people spend about VND 31,000 billion on cigarettes.
