This is the forth French writing contest held by Le Courrier du Vietnam, a weekly French-language newspaper under the Vietnam News Agency. The contest is under the sponsor of the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF), the embassies of France, Switzerland and Morocco, the Francophone Universities Association (AUF), the Wallonie-Bruxelles Delegation in Hanoi, and the Hanoi Eye Hospital No.2.

One year after launching, the contest has drawn the participation of 115 contestants with 121 entries. The jury for the qualifying round has selected twenty works with the highest marks for the final.

The first prize was presented to Vu Le Minh Anh and Le Huynh Kieu Nga from HCM City for their reportage titled “Réseaux sociaux ennemis des femmes?” (Social networks – enemy of women), which explores the negative impacts of social networks on Vietnamese women, particularly Facebook.

The second prize went to Vu Ha Trang and Doan Tra My for their work “Vieux dortoirs à Hanoi – un patrimoine méconnu” (Old condos in Hanoi – forgotten legacy).

The organizers also presented a third prize, three encouragement prizes, a People’s Choice award, an Impressive Contestant, and a Dynamic Contestant award.
