At the working session with the Hanoi Health Department on February 27, Hue extended his best wishes to doctors and medicine-related workers of the municipal health sector on the special day.

He reaffirmed the Party’s guidelines and State’s policies on protecting, taking care of, and improving people’s health. He laid stress on the need to build a city-level medical system on par with the city’s status and to meet local people’s demands.

Emphasizing the importance of COVID-19 prevention and control, Secretary Hue acknowledged and applauded medical personnel for their great efforts over the past time. He asked the medical sector to practice possible scenarios to quickly respond to the epidemic.

Earlier, visiting Duc Giang General Hospital, Secretary Hue reminded the hospital of continuously learning from other hospitals experience in successfully treating COVID-19 patients and asked it to prepare adequate materials and technical facilities to serve COVID-19 patients.

* On February 27, Vietnam-Germany Friendship Hospital inaugurated two high-quality operating rooms, namely Body Tom and KARL STORZ OR1, using a mobile computed tomography system and other advanced medical equipment.

At the ceremony, Professor Tran Binh Giang, Ph.D, the hospital’s director said that the two newly-inaugurated operating rooms will meet not only patients’ demands, but also doctors’ training and research needs. When the rooms are put into operation, medical councils can hold remote consultation and monitor the surgery process via a video and communication system integrated with the rooms.

* The same day, various delegations from the Command of Military Region 7 visited and presented gifts to doctors from hospitals and medical units in the region.

At these meetings, the region’s leadership highly valued the hosts’ advice to help the region effectively direct COVID-19 prevention and control and care for troops’ and people’ health. They also highlighted the hospitals’ investment in advanced medical equipment, and their staff’s raised medical ethics and professional competence. They hoped that the medical personnel will continue bringing into the play good virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, promote internal unity and their creativeness, and fulfil all assignments.
