* Mr. Vo Van Thuong, Politburo member and Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Information and Communications attended a ceremony to inaugurate a general examination and treatment facility under the Vietnam – Soviet Friendship Hospital in Hanoi.
* A mission, led by Ms. Tong Thi Phong, Politburo member and Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly, visited Hanoi Heart Hospital on February 27.
At the meeting with the hospital’s staff, Phong urged Hanoi Heart Hospital to pay due attention to improving its services to patients, promoting staff’s expertise, and applying scientific, technological and technical advances into medical treatment.

* The Vietnam Young Doctors’ Association voted 10 outstanding young doctors to be awarded for their records in the public health care and scientific research over the last year. The awarding ceremony is scheduled to take place at the end of the next month.
* Military Central Hospital 108 held a get-together to mark the doctors’ day. At the meeting, delegates reminisced about the history of the traditional day and pay tribute to late President Ho Chi Minh who had laid a foundation for the Vietnamese revolutionary health sector.
Last year, the hospital successfully completed all assigned missions. Notably, the hospital is the first medical facility in the country to operate two gas and conveyor transport systems to reduce waiting time of patients and increase efficiency in medical examination and treatment.
Besides, the hospital has started operating an advanced automated testing system that can perform 3,600 tests per hour and an immunoassay analyzer with 600 tests per hour.
* A similar ceremony was held by Military Hospital 110 of Military Region 1 to review its operation last year. The hospital worked very hard to provide effective medical examination and treatment services to patients.
* On February 27, the Quang Ninh provincial Military Command gathered its medical personnel on the occasion of the Vietnamese Doctors’ Day.
