Vietnamese custom officers seize a container full of smuggled ivory

Custom officers at Dinh Vu Port recently discovered that one of two containers that arrived in the port on the Malaysia-flagged ship Hubenzo contained illegal ivory.

The owner of the two containers is Phuc Thien Ngan Company, registered in An Duong District in the city of Haiphong.

The Hubenzo docked at Dinh Vu port in Haiphong on February 2^nd.

Vu Ngoc Tuan, Director of the Phuc Thien Ngan declared on custom declarations that the containers only contained used products from other countries.

Today, March 6^th, relevant bodies will open the second container to inspect and count the amount of illegal ivory.
