Vietnam, RoK boost cooperation in IP management
PANO - The National Office of Intellectual Property (NOIP) under the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam and the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) on May 29 signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on strategic cooperation to boost IP management.
According to Deputy Head of the NOIP Le Ngoc Lam, under the MoU, the cooperation will focus on key fields that support Vietnam’s IP right establishment, especially in improving quality of checking and approving invention registration applications and of an automatic system of management over industry property applications. The cooperation will also contribute to giving supporting to the two countries’ enterprises, improving business environment and luring more FDI which Korean enterprises are paying much attention to.
Besides, the signatories will cooperate in improving capabilities in application assessment, law building, IP management, IP commercialization and automatization, IP information and others.
