According to the Hanoi Chapter of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the volunteers were meticulously selected from 43 universities, colleges, and communes across the city for their moral and political virtues, good academic records, physical health, and foreign language proficiency.

As many as 8,800 volunteers have been ready for the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day. |
They will be in charge of guiding delegates, distributing essential supplies at Ba Dinh Square’s grandstand area, supporting citizens along parade routes, managing storage facilities, transporting supplies, assisting with social order and environmental protection, and helping to welcome domestic and foreign delegations.
At the event, Secretary of the Youth Union Organization and Chairman of the Hanoi Students’ Association Nguyen Tien Hung recalled that 80 years ago, young people stood in the vanguard of the nation’s struggle for independence and freedom. He highlighted today's generations are honored to shoulder crucial responsibilities for the city to organize this grand celebration.
He described this as an opportunity for the youth to demonstrate the national pride and dedication, expressing his confidence that the volunteers will excel in their assigned duties, creating lasting impression of Hanoi and Vietnamese youth on both domestic and international visitors.
The Youth Union provided volunteers with uniforms, badges, and training sessions on security assistance, environmental protection, crowd guidance, emergency evacuation, and first aid.
More than 200 buses will transport the volunteers safely to and from duty posts during the celebration.
