Vietnam responds to Earth Hour campaign
PANO – The 2019 Earth Hour campaign with the message “Saving Energy, Protecting the Earth” kicked off at pedestrian streets surrounding Hoan Kiem Lake in Hanoi on March 10.
The Earth Hour campaign in Vietnam is an annual activity, which has been held over the past 11 years by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT).
In March, a number of practical activities will be held across the country, including turning off lights for one hour in response to the campaign at August Revolution Square in Hanoi at 20:30-21:30 of March 30.

Turning off electric equipment and devices during the Earth Hour campaign not only reminds people of saving energy, but also aims at protecting the environment and dealing with climate change, contributing to protecting the Earth.
The Earth Hour campaign is an annual worldwide movement initiated and organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) from 2007. Around 7,000 cities in 172 countries and territories have responded to the campaign.
