Various activities celebrating the August Revolution
PANO - A delegation from Party committees of Central Agencies on August 25 handed over 5 gratitude houses, worth VND 300 million each, 23 gifts and 30 scholarships to national contributors and needy children in Minh Thanh commune, Son Duong district, Tuyen Quang province.
Volunteer doctors of the delegation also provided free health check-ups and medicines to local people, presented bookshelves, medical and school equipment; and organized many art and sport exchange programs with the locals.

* The Ha Nam province's Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in association with the Education and Training Department, on August 24 held a book festival in 2018 to celebrate the 73rd anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2). The event saw the participation of 16 outstanding individuals from 6 districts and cities in the province. Accordingly, the units also selected many good books to introduce at the festival.
* The chapter of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Ayun Pa town (Gia Lai province) and the Party Committee of the provincial business association handed over 3 gratitude houses to poor households in the communes of Ia Rbol, Chu Bah and Ayun Pa town. Each house was built on an area of 70 to 140 s.q.m, at a cost of VND 50 million from the support of the Gia Lai Lottery Company and the Gia Lai Irrigation Work Exploitation Company.
* Sports and Cultural Center in Bac Ninh City has opened the first Quan ho folklore singing festival in 2018. The festival drew the participation of 19 teams representing 19 communes and wards with more than 400 Quan Ho singers. The festival aimed to preserve and promote the intangible cultural heritage values of Quan Ho folk singing and create a new playground to strengthen exchanges among the villages in the province.
* In order to create a bright, green and beautiful landscape on the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, leaders of Lai Chau city (Lai Chau province) asked relevant agencies to prune, cut off and plant more trees along many roads of the city. Accordingly, about 18,000 trees will be cut off to ensure the high voltage systems of the city and create a favorable playground for children in the new school year.
