Science and technology awards presented to outstanding youths
PANO - The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee (HCYUCC) in association with the Ministry of Science and Technology held a ceremony on December 29 to hand over the Qua Cau Vang (Golden Sphere) awards and the outstanding female student awards in science and technology.
This year's awards were handed over to 10 young talents, including eight doctors, two masters of science, and one excellent student from the University of Natural Science under the Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City, who is also the youngest awardee.

The jury handed three prizes of information and communications, two prizes of environmental technology, two prizes of pharmaceutical technology and two prizes of new materials' technology.
The outstanding female student awards in science and technology, ed from 67 entries sent from universities and academies nationwide, were presented to 20 excellent female students.
Addressing the program, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Federation Nguyen Manh Cuong said that the awards are to promote scientific desire among young and female students and encourage them to bring into play their talents.
