Representatives of Thien Long Group JSC handing over 4,000 sets of school supplies to the organizing panel

Taking place from October 5 to the end of December, the program will be carried out in cities and provinces that have imposed social distancing measures and been severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

It aims to support poor students and children of COVID-19 front-line forces, workers in manufacturing-processing and industrial zones, informal laborers, and ethnic minority people.

After the launching ceremony, the organizing panel will grant 4,000 sets of school supplies, including notebooks, pens, rulers, erasers, crayons, and others, to disadvantaged students affected by the pandemic.

In addition, the organizers will provide 450 scholarships, worth VND 500,000 each, for needy primary and secondary students and offer 200 ones, valued at VND 1 million each, to college and university students.

Addressing the event, Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the HCM Young Pioneers Organization, Head of the Department of Children Affairs of HCM Communist Youth Union, underlined that the program would be a meaningful and practical activity to help needy students improve learning conditions amid the complicated developments of the pandemic.

She added that by December 31, the program is expected to have given over 8,000 sets of school supplies and 650 scholarships to disadvantaged students at primary and secondary schools, colleges, and universities while conducting other practical activities for them during the new school year.

At the event, a representative of Thien Long Group JSC handed over 4,000 sets of school supplies to the organizing panel.

As scheduled, in the 2021-2025 period, 20,000 sets of school supplies will be presented to poor students in remote areas.
